Cool Happenings in SF

I sometimes hear about things that make me miss the Bay Area oodles. Oodles and Oodles to be exact. The last place I lived in San Francisco was 18th and Fulton - meaning I could walk to various attractions in Golden Gate Park. And the Conservatory of Flowers was one of my favorites. Their main exhibit is awesome, and they pften do fun special exhibits. This one looks like the funnest. There are herbs and herbal wonders, and then there are these bad boys. Seriously cool. I wish I could get back to go!

Good morning, Caitlin! Sorry this is off topic, but I am so glad that I didn't see photos of tornado damage posted on your blog! How did that storm go for you? It was so windy here that we watched the trunk of a huge willow tree sway - at 6 feet off the ground! I was looking for sturdy surfaces to get under.... Love, Jennie

We're all fine! One touched down less than a mile from us, and some of our neighbors lost barns/sheds/homes. I was 3 hours east at the manfriend's, which is also fine, but tornadoes peppered the landscape surrounding him. And I drove through the tail end of one of the many systems to go get my mom. I saw one cone form and took off as soon as it sucked back up into the clouds. I felt like I was back in the Midwest!!
